The Weekend WOW: Casting Crowns Edition

Throughout any given week, I strive to share hilarious new tantalizing thought-provoking illuminating things on my Twitter and Facebook. At the end of the week, I condense the very best of Internetdom into a WOW-tastic blog post I call “The Weekend WOW.” And what a wonderful WOW-tastic week on the World Wide Web it was.

+ WOW what a hilarious interview: Over at Funny or Die, Zach Galifinkkkainanalffifkis has this hilarious interview series called “Between Two Ferns.” He recently posted an interview with the one, the only, the unbeliebable Justin Bieber. So funny.

+ WOW what a new song: “All You’ve Ever Wanted” by Casting Crowns. I gotta say, few things excite me more than Casting Crowns new album season. Here’s their first single from Album 6! I’m digging all the tree/root imagery for this album; so excited to hear the other songs to come.

+ WOW what a tantalizing album description: While we’re on the subject, check out Mark Hall’s analysis of the genesis for the new Casting Crowns album. Once again, I am so inspired by this talk of epic trees and roots and reach. What could the new album be titled, I wonder? The Root and The Reach?

+ WOW what a thought-provoking tweet: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if you tweet something incredible, just one thing, you will get an instant/eternal follow from me. Incredible thought-provoking tweets like this one from Eugene Cho will do the trick!

+ WOW what an illuminating blog post: “Forgive Them, Father” by The Registered Runaway. I recently stumbled across this anonymous blog, largely focused on the homosexual struggle within Christianity. RR’s blog post on a father’s influence (or not?) on sexuality is fantastic.

What about you? What’s something awesome happening in Internet Land this week?

I might have wasted a big part of yesterday watching old episodes of “Between Two Ferns” on youtube… 😉

Definitely not a waste! The Conan O’Brien one is probably my favorite. So funny.

Tom, the Registered Runaway is one of the best things you’ve shared with us. Thanks for passing along this extremely well-written and thought-provoking blog.
