Throughout any given week, I strive to share hilarious heart-tugging inspiring wise wonderfully wintery things on my Twitter and Facebook. At the end of the week, I condense the very best of Internetdom into a WOW-tastic blog post I call The Weekend WOW. And what a wonderful WOW-tastic Christmasey week on the World Wide Web it was.
+ WOW what a hilarious blog post: Jon Acuff’s “The 5 Best Ways to Survive, ‘Christmas Shoes'” via Stuff Christians Like. It’s the stuff of sheer comedic brilliance. I particularly love option 1: FALLING OUT OF YOUR MOVING VEHICLE BEFORE YOU HEAR MORE THAN 3 WORDS OF THIS SONG ON THE RADIO.
+ WOW what a heart-tugging Christmas commercial: I recently blogged about this DICK’S Sporting Goods commercial in “Why I Want an Older Brother,” and it’s certainly worth reposting here. I’ve watched it a hundred times and it’s easily one of my favorite commercials of all-time, Christmas or otherwise.
+ WOW what an inspiring Christmas video: WestJet Airlines recently put on a big Christmas miracle. I’ll let the video tell the beautiful tale itself; it’s just too good. Get me on a WestJet flight, wherever WestJet even flies, stat.
+ WOW what a wise tweet: Ron Swanson of Parks & Recreation has some priceless wisdom for you this winter. I intend to listen to him; you’d be wise to follow.
A six-pack is nature’s signal that you need to eat more. You aren’t going to make the #winter, son.

+ WOW what a wonderfully wintery picture: And finally, here’s an image of my recently published paperback from the recently snow-blitzed Northeast! I think my book looks good in white.
That’s the last WOW of 2013! What did I miss on the Internet this week? Any other tear-inducing Christmas commercials I need to be aware of?
