Hello friends! I’ve been wandering around the Midwest the last couple weeks, and somehow I’ve escaped the endless corn fields and found a place with WiFi. Phew.
While it can take a little longer to appreciate the beauty of Iowa’s open road compared to, say, rugged Utah’s, it’s all part of the lovely process. I’m still enjoying my #RunningTo life on the road, and I’m excited to explore more of this mysterious Midwest I’ve not seen much of.
Check out my favorite moments from Omaha, Kansas City, and St. Louis!
O! What a slogan.
Chef Boyardee lives in Omaha! I thanked him for all his raviolis consumed upon first moving out.
Omaha at night! Not too shabby.
Omaha’s pedestrian bridge over the Missouri River, connecting two of the most HAPPENING states.
Returning to Kansas City for the first time since last year’s IHOP conference. Beautiful nighttime view.
Hitting up the 24/7 prayer room for some writing/meditation the whole night!
Walked out the prayer room at sunrise and saw this.
Playing the piano! The sidewalk keys actually made noise.
Hallmark’s headquarters has a tightizzle visitor’s center, complete with state-of-the-art souvenir photograph technology.
Is it just me or does Mr. Hallmark look a lot like Dick Cheney?
Panera is called “BreadCo” in St. Louis and the whole thing is just too much for me to handle.
I told the bird not to move and he listened. Love him.
BIG OLE CHURCH.
World’s largest chess piece! STL is crazy, y’all.
Stay tuned next time for some assuredly touristy pictures of the St. Louis Arch! And do you live in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or eastern Texas? Hit me up if you’d like to grab coffee or a meal or even have a couch I could crash for a night or two!
